Registration of Alice Springs Native Title Body
On Wednesday 15 May Justice Howard Olney will hand
down the Federal Court’s determination on the registration of the
Lhere Artepe Aboriginal Corporation as the prescribed body corporate for
Alice Springs native title holders.
Justice Olney will present the determination in the Alice Spring Court House at 2 pm.
Members of the Lhere Artepe Aboriginal Corporation nominated as spokespeople will be available after the handing down of the decision to talk to the media outside the court house.
Lhere Artepe is pronounced Lere-a A-tep-a and translates approximately from Central Arrernte as along or beside the river.
