“I want to get improvements to our roads. We used to fix potholes with gravel, but now we don’t get help from the shire. We need support from the shire to get work. We need our white cards so we can do the work.

“I would like to see more support for homelands and ranger programs so that we can look after country.”

“My parents used to go to land council meetings. When I was 15 or 16 my family got some land at Perentie Bore, to stay away from the roadhouse. That’s where they built Imanpa. Growing up my family – five children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild – is one of my best achievements.”
