Governance training

The training aims to help delegates understand their responsibilities once they’ve taken on the role of a Land Council representative.

They are provided with an explanation of the CLC’s role under the Land Rights and Native Title Acts and given training in such things as the standards of behaviour expected of delegates, their legal rights and responsibilities and tips on how to keep meetings running smoothly and affectively.

Governance training by the Land Council aims to continually improve the efficiency of the organisation and lift delegates’ ability to represent their people and communities.
