Public Interest Disclosure (PID) / Whistleblower Policy

The purpose of the Whistleblower Policy is to provide an avenue for public officials to report suspected wrongdoing at the Central Land Council.

The policy provides for Council delegates, employees (including former employees) and contracted service providers of the CLC, to make a public interest disclosure of suspected wrongdoing relating to CLC, its activities or officials, either anonymously or openly, in writing or verbally, to an authorised officer. The CLC has an obligation to assess the disclosure and decide whether to investigate the matter or not, in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013.
